Loading Dock Protection

Hager Electro Bischwiller – France

Case Study

The Bischwiller community in Alsace is often flooded by the Moder, a tributary of the Rhine. The city has a Flood Protection Plan.

Hager Electro, a Germany based electric components (transformers, home automation) manufacturer, owns a factory bordering a stream.

When the Moder goes out of its bed, the water surrounds the buildings and floods the loading docks, making it impossible to ship or receive any of their products.

In order to protect the loading docks against flood, MegaSecur supplied a fast deployment crate containing 200 meters the Water-Gate® flood protection barrier.

By means of a forklift truck and 3 men, 5 minutes are sufficient to install the anti-flood protection in front of the loading docks, which can remain operational. The company’s activities can now be maintained when flooding occurs.
